Alright, are you ready to dominate in FC25? Today, we're diving deep into the best meta custom tactics that have been absolutely smashing it for me, helping me score a crazy amount of goals per game. These tactics are honestly astonishing, and until now, they've been kept a secret by some of the top players. So, let's get into these incredible new tactics – they're so fun to use!
Formation and Overall Tactics
Well, what formation are we going to be using, guys? It's going to be, of course, the 4-2-3-1. It is, simply put, the most overpowered formation in the game. It's the most balanced, it's good when you're defending, and it's also stunning in attack. I've never scored this many goals per game than with this formation, and the level of passing quality that you also get with these tactics is honestly outrageous.
Big shoutout to Patrick James for discovering these tactics. The response has been insane, so you know they're well-liked. Anyway, 4-2-3-1 is the formation, and as always, it works across multiple budgets. The key here is short passing. For these new 4-2-3-1 meta tactics, it has to be short passing.
Defensive Setup: Depth and Aggression
Now, this is where things get honestly crazy. We're going for 95 depth. When I tell you that this is now the proper new overpowered meta, I'm not kidding, round guys, this is the one you need. 95 depth has to be the depth here. 70 will make this formation a lot less powerful in-game. 95 depth pretty much guarantees that on the halfway line, your defenders are ready to get that interception and start that counterattack. It is so much better to use 95 depth; it's great.
Now, with 95 depth, guys, it's really, really good in defense as well because your team is able to stop those fast-paced counterattacks, which are so overpowered as we know in FC25. And with the short passing style as well, it's got to be said your left wing and right wing players here are really important with short passing as they'll often come short for that pass and go and get it and get it quickly into the striker. So, 4-2-3-1, short passing, and aggressive 95 depth – that's what you need.
Player Instructions: Building a Solid Unit
Now, player roles here, guys, I've got to adjust every single one here.
- Goalkeeper: You can simply stick with the goalkeeper and defend.
- Center Backs: Defender and defend, and Defender and defend again. This keeps your defensive line very structured and more organized.
- Full Backs: Fullback and defend for both the left back and right back. That's all you need for the defensive line. That is what it's going to be best suited to. These new tactics are also, by the way, the best defensive tactics you can try right now with this 4-2-3-1 formation. This formation is so broken; I feel really confident of hitting rank two consistently at least with these; they're so nice.
- CDMs: Deep line playmaker and buildup for both the right and left CDM. By doing that, it allows your formation to really build those counters quickly and actually play really aggressive, getting the ball forward, getting those goals really, really effectively. I know some of you watching might normally have, you know, stay back while attacking or balanced here in holding, but when you have deep line playmaker and build up on both, it kind of makes them in unison, make those amazing passes. They look for those hard passes more often, and they can make them. So, make sure you've got a CDM here who's good at defending but also pretty good at passing.
- CAM: Playmaker and buildup. I have tried Shadow Striker, but I just don't think it's as effective in-game. This for me is currently the best meta option, guys, for the CAM position.
Attacking Instructions: Wing Play and Striker Movement
Now, before we complete the final instructions, so far, this is how it looks in-game; however, things are about to change in these tactics.
- Wingers: Inside forward and roaming for both the right and left wing. By having roaming, it gives you more freedom on the wing, and your wingers will cut in to make those amazing finesse shots. Having roaming on that is so vital. Don't have anything else on this, guys; make sure to have inside forward and roaming. By having the focus as roaming for the left wing and right wing there, guys, it basically allows them to sink well with the CAM because they come in more, so they actually get closer towards the CAM or whoever you've got at CAM. It links so well to that attack midfield there; they really do.
- Striker: Advanced forward and attack. You need that on for your striker position. I've got one of the best strikers in the game here, and he is deadly in this game with these tactics. I'm scoring more than four goals per game, more than I ever have previously with any tactics. He's a really, really fun overpowered meta custom tactics. I know it's 4-2-3-1, but it is the best formation in the game right now. It'll help you get through the divisions; it should help you get more wins in the weekend league as well.
Make sure, guys, to give them a try. That's how it looks, by the way, in-game. Look how solid and as a unit that whole team is; it really is. Also, big tip here as well: make sure when you're defending, you're using your CDMs. Try not to drag your center backs or right backs out of position. That should help you out. However, these are the brand new tactics I really do advise.
