Alright, let's dive into the 41212 narrow – an absolute amazing formation for that bread and butter, fast-passing, attacking football. Honestly, it's probably my favorite formation to use in FC25. I'm not saying it's the best, but it's definitely my go-to. I love the Ticky Tacker, the one-touch passing you get, and having that CAM behind the two strikers – I always call it the Holy Trinity! It's just amazing. So, let's get into the custom tactics I'm currently using, which, in my opinion, are the best for this formation.
Custom Tactics: Build-Up Play
Alright, let's get into the custom tactics. For the Tactical Preset in the 41212 narrow, we'll start with the build-up play. There are two options here, but I'm using what I think is the best:
- Balanced: This is what I'm currently using. It gives you a good balance between building up play and not being too risky.
- Counter: If you're struggling defensively, especially with quick counter-attacks, counter can really help.
For me, though, balanced is the way to go.
Custom Tactics: Defensive Approach
Now, for the defensive approach in the 41212 narrow, we're going full-on aggressive. We're blitzing people with this formation!
- Defensive Style: Press After Possession Loss
- Width: 70. We want to be aggressive, playing that front-foot, attacking, free-flowing, high-pressing football in FC25.
- Line Height: 70.
Player Instructions
Now, let's get into the player roles. Remember, this formation is all about scoring more goals than your opponent. Defending isn't completely out the window, but it's definitely not our primary focus.
- Strikers (Left & Right): Advanced Forward and Attack. We want goals, goals, goals!
- CAM: Playmaker and Balanced. If you're struggling to create opportunities, you can try Shadow Striker on the CAM. It's a viable option.
- Left Central Midfielder: Playmaker and Attack. Very similar to my 433 setup.
- Right Central Midfielder: Box to Box. This gives us offensive support and some defensive cover. You could use Box to Box on both central midfielders if you prefer.
- CDM: Deep Line Playmaker and Defend. Holding is also a good option here, but I prefer Deep Line Playmaker.
- Right Back: Full Back and Defend. Similar to my 433 setup.
- Center Backs (Both): Defender and Defend. Simple and effective.
- Left Back: Wing Back and Balanced. This gives us a lot of attacking width on the left side with overlapping runs.
- Goalkeeper: Balanced.
That's how the team sets up with the ball in-game. You can see how we overload the left-hand side, with the left back providing width from overlapping runs. The right back helps out defensively, acting as a third center back, and the box-to-box midfielder provides protection.
