Alright, let's dive into these killer FC25 custom tactics for the 4231 Wide Pro, designed to absolutely dominate the 4213. This is the real deal, so pay attention!

    Formation and Philosophy

The 4231 Wide is a beast because it allows your fullbacks to stay back, which is crucial. Unlike the 4213, where wingers are pushed high, this setup lets your fullbacks stay put, effectively marking the 4213 wingers. This allows your own wingers to track back and defend while also being a threat going forward. It's all about controlling the flanks and having a solid defensive base.

    Build Up Play

    • Build Up Style: Short Passing. This is all about preference, but short passing is the way to go for me.
    • Defensive Approach: High. Again, it's your call, but I like it.
    • Depth: 71. This is where you need to be smart. If someone is constantly hitting those first-time through balls or playing over the top, drop the depth to 50, and you'll be golden.

    Player Instructions

    • Goalkeeper: Sweeper Keeper, Balanced. We want our keeper to come out for crosses and loose balls. Don't be a traditional 2008 keeper just kicking it out of play.
    • Center Backs: Defender and Defend. Simple, solid, and effective.
    • Fullbacks: Defend. This is key! When set to defend, the fullbacks will move inside to form a back three when your team has possession. This is crucial against the 4213, as it allows you to mark their wingers and have a four-on-three at the back.
    • CDMs: DLP (Deep Lying Playmaker) Build Up. This is essential for any formation with CDMs. The DLP instruction makes the CDM move forward and offer a passing option. They'll play box-to-box from the DM position. You can't do this with a wide half or center half.
      • CDM Personnel: You want someone tall, athletic, and a good tackler. Think Rodri or Kimmich. They also need to be able to pass the ball.
    • CAM: Playmaker. This is where you can experiment, but I've been using Shadow Striker and really liking it. However, they don't really get back, they sort of play as a second Striker. When set to playmaker, this player tends to be creative, with a Midfield license to roam. The playmaker will offer defensive support when needed as well as orchestrating attack.
      • CAM Personnel: You want someone with the Inside Pass, Long Ball, and Tiki Taka playstyles. If they have Finesse Plus, even better.
    • Left Mid and Right Mid: Inside Forward, Balanced. You need someone who can finesse the ball. You want to receive the ball and finesse it in that lane, or use tricks to fake shot and run straight down the line.
      • Winger Personnel: Someone agile, really fast, and good at shooting on either foot. A five-star weak foot is ideal, along with the Finesse Shot playstyle.
    • Striker: Advanced Forward, Attack. Nothing changes here. This guy is all about scoring goals.
      • Striker Personnel: Quick, finesse, or Power Shot. Finesse and five-star weak foot are ideal.

    In-Game Strategy

Remember, triggering runs is crucial. Your wide mids aren't going to make runs themselves, so you need to push them forward. Make things happen with your CAM, your wingers, and your striker. This formation is essentially a 4-5-1, with one attacker and your wingers playing as midfielders. You need to create a triangle in midfield and overload the opponent.

This is the code to use in your game. Go out there and dominate!
