Alright, what's up guys, Redl here, and I'm back with another tactics video. You know I only upload legit and actually good tactics, so let's get into it.

    Formation and Instructions

We're starting with the custom tactics, as always, and the formation is a 4-4-2 flat.

    • Build Up Play: Short Passing. This is pretty self-explanatory. I want the players to come towards you. They'll come short to support the ball carrier rather than making forward runs. If you have it on "Counter," they just run off, and I absolutely hate it. Balance is probably decent, but I like short passing. If you want them to go on a forward run, you can send them on a forward run by pressing L1. No point in them running off by themselves.
    • Defensive Style: High.
    • Width: 71. We've copied Ja Fons over that. I used to be on 70, it's good, it's pretty much the same as 71 probably, but I just like 71. You know when you try something and it works, don't change it.
    • Depth: 71.

    Player Instructions

    Now onto player instructions:

    • Forwards: Advanced Forward on both strikers (Drogba and Pelle). This is so you can play them first time with an L1 triangle over the top into your striker and score that goal.
    • Wingers: Inside Forward and Balanced on both wingers. This is so on the ball they sort of tuck in and let the fullbacks get up and down the pitch. But then off the ball, they're back into that 4-4-2 defending.
    • Center Mids: Box to Box and Balanced on both center mids. Guys, these tactics are so, so simple, and this is why you don't even need the code, really. I'll put it in the description, top line description, or it's right here. But yeah, guys, it's very easy to set up manually.
    • Fullbacks: Balanced on both fullbacks. Guys, it's so, so simple.
    • Center Backs: Stay Back While Attacking on both center backs.
    • Goalkeeper: Sweeper Keeper and Balanced.

Here it is without the ball, and here it is with the ball. The team plays like a Christmas tree, as you can see, with the wingers tucking in and the fullbacks being able to advance past them on forward runs.

    Set Pieces

    Now, onto the assignments.

    • Free Kicks: We don't have a dead ball player in this team, so we've gone for Patel.
    • Corners: Target player Van Dijk, so important. Near post Drogba, back post Janola. Janola is big; you just want him in the box, just anywhere. Van Dijk on the six-yard box for that quick whip into the box, and Janola the near post in case the opponent brings his keeper out. You can do a quick one to the front post and nod it into the goal.

    Gameplay Examples

Let's play two games in Division Rivals and show you exactly how this works. It's important you listen, trust me.

    • Pressing: One of the huge points in this formation is the press. You can go absolutely nowhere.
    • First-Time L1 Triangle: If the first-time L1 triangle is affecting you, make sure to lower the depth to 50, and then it will stop that. The AI will drop a bit deeper, then you can use some offside traps manually to push up the line.
    • Trigger Runs: If you feel stuck, just do L1, L1, X, trigger, and run.
    • Fullback Trigger Runs: If you never got anything on trigger a fullback, give it to someone with long ball, hit that long ball over the top, run onto it, take a touch, come back, hit the edge.

These are my 4-4-2 tactics. I got ranked one with last week. They're so, so good.
