Alright, what's up, YouTube! Merry Christmas to you all! Today, we're diving back into the 4-3-2-1, a formation that's been absolutely cooking for me, especially after getting Bobby Charlton from my Rank 1 rewards. I've made a few tweaks, and trust me, this setup is fire. Let's get into it!

Custom Tactics: The 4-3-2-1 Blueprint

Remember, this formation was absolutely broken in FC 24, and it's still a beast. Here's the breakdown:

  • Build Up Play: Balanced.
  • Chance Creation: Counter. This is a solid option, but you can also use Balanced if you prefer.
  • Defensive Style: Balanced.
  • Defensive Width: 50. This is crucial because of the first-time chip through ball meta. You can't be too aggressive, or you'll get exposed.
  • Defensive Depth: 50.

Player Instructions: Unleashing the Power

Now, let's get into the player roles. This is where the magic happens:

  • Striker: Advanced Forward and Attack. We need that striker pushing forward, playing like a proper goal scorer.
  • Left and Right CAMs: Shadow Striker and Attack. This is the key! I want them playing like center forwards, right up there with the striker. They'll be very close to your striker, just like last year's FC 24 4-3-2-1.
  • Left Center Midfielder: Box to Box and Balanced. They'll get forward and help out in defense.
  • Middle Center Midfielder: Holding and Defend. You could use Deep Lying Playmaker, but I prefer Holding to shield the back four. They won't venture too far from their spot.
  • Right Center Midfielder: Playmaker and Attack. This guy gets more freedom to go forward, thanks to the right back instructions.
  • Right Back: Fullback and Defend. This provides defensive cover, allowing the right CM to push forward.
  • Center Backs: Defender and Defend. Simple and effective.
  • Left Back: Attacking Wing Back and Balanced. This is where the width comes from. The left back will bomb forward, which is why the left CM is a box-to-box player.
  • Goalkeeper: Balanced.

With the ball, this is how the team sets itself up. It's very similar to last year's FC 24 4-3-2-1. I was shocked at how much I enjoyed using it this morning. It's a throwback, and it's amazing, especially with how good the CAMs are in the game now.
