Good day everyone, it's Tomy Dex here, and welcome back to another video on this channel! Today, we're diving into Ali Han's 5-3-2 custom tactics that absolutely dominated the last Pro tournament. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Pros' tactics just don't work for me, man!" But here's the deal: pro tactics are designed around a specific game plan that consistently works at the highest level. They're all about maintaining stability. In this case, it's simple, boring, and meta, but it's insanely consistent.
Formation and Build-Up
We're setting this up in the 5-3-2 formation. For the build-up play, Ali Han uses Balanced. Honestly, it's perfect for this setup. Against good opponents, you don't want to play too slow or rush your plays and lose the ball quickly.
Defensive Approach
Ali Han's defensive approach is High, with a Line Height of 70. It's very straightforward. However, since the pressing isn't crazy with the 5-3-2, decreasing the line height to 50 is also a really reliable, fully defensive option I wouldn't mind going for as well.
Player Roles and Instructions
Let's break down the player roles and instructions:
- Strikers: Both strikers are set to Advanced Forward and Attack. Now, Ali Han used Mbappe and Ronaldo Nazario in these positions. Most of us probably don't casually have R9 running around. The key here is to have two players who can either take fantastic green-timed finesse shots or have a demonic power shot on them. Players like Payet, Bruno Fernandes, or Valverde would be perfect. Alternatively, these two players should either be "pay-to-win" complete strikers like Mbappe or have a nasty Finesse Shot Plus on them. If a pro formation isn't working for you, you're probably not using it to its maximum potential.
- Finesse Shot Plus: After the patch, finesse shots are a game-changer. It's like the shadow nerf did a couple of patches ago, but now it's just perfect again. Every finesse goes in, even without the green timing.
- Central Midfielders (CMs): These are your "Trella" slowers, and both are set to Playmaker and Attack. I've been playing with this setup for a while, and I've tried having one of them on Roaming Focus, and honestly, I liked it very much. But for the sake of staying true to Ali Han's tactics, I keep them both on Attack.
- Central Defensive Midfielder (CDM): This player is set to Holding and Defend. You know what this player is supposed to do: just sit deep right in front of the defensive line, disrupt the opponent's passes, all that good stuff. But if you somehow have that player that can play this defensive role properly and has the Long Ball Plus play style, it's just going to be perfect.
- Attacking Fullback: This is your most attacking fullback, set to Attacking Wing Back and Balanced. For me, that's going to be Jesus Navas.
- Defensive Fullback: On the other side, Ali Han actually had this player on Fullback and Balanced, but it was just too boring for me. So, I adjusted this one little thing to my liking. The more defensive fullback for me will be playing on Wing Back and Balanced. Trust me, if you're not playing in a pro tournament, having this player commit forward can really help your attacks in so many different ways.
- Center Backs (CBs): All three center backs are on Defender and Defend. I've been experimenting with having the wide center backs on Ball Playing Defender, but to be completely meta, Defender and Defend is probably the best option on the game.
- Goalkeeper: Ali Han uses Sweeper Keeper.
Attacking Shape
When you're attacking, this is how the team is going to look:
- The two center mids are at the perfect angle for the through ball.
- The two strikers, you know what you can do with two strikers.
- I just love the balance between having one attacking wing back and one wing back. You can always push that wing back higher up the pitch by triggering the L1 button or doing a one-two pass.
Gameplay Tips
Often, in any pro formation, you need to play position patiently, pass it around, and keep waiting until you see that opening that just screams "this is it!" Again, I know it's boring, but it's simply the way these tactics are designed to work. So, just don't rush in your attacking plays.
