Alright, YouTube, let's dive into the tactics! This is the 5-3-2 formation that Anders Verge gang is currently using. For any of you OGs in FIFA, you'll remember how overpowered this formation used to be. My hair is still wet, by the way, I literally just got out of the shower before recording this video. But the 5-3-2 is amazing. We all know how overpowered and broken five-at-the-back formations are this year, so let's get into the custom tactics.

    Team Tactics

First things first, the Tactical Preset, your absolute bread and butter, never ever ever change this. It's the 5-3-2 holding. Very, very, very easy. It's the one with the CDM rather than anything else.

    • Build Up Play: Counter. You'll have noticed that I'm currently using counter on my build-up style, and I'm still using it. It is very, very, very good. I think it's probably the best thing you can use this year because when you lose the ball, it basically just means all of your defenders run back to defend. But then when we get the ball, they really do break forward quickly and make really good penetrating runs forward. It's very, very, very good.
    • Defensive Approach: 71 depth. There's a reason for this, there is method to the madness. Basically, this formation is an unbelievably solid formation, YouTube. Like, it is so, so, so good defensively, so we can afford to be quite aggressive with our defensive line and all of that good stuff. It also means we're not camped on our own 18-yard box. If you're someone that is really struggling defensively, maybe lower that line height down to like a 60 or a 55. Those I definitely think are good and usable. 61 is kind of like what I really like as well, but 71 at this current moment of time.

    Player Instructions

Now, let's get into the player roles.

    • Left-sided Striker: Advanced Forward and Attack. This striker is a versatile attacker who usually stays close to the opposition's defensive line but opens themselves up for passes in the buildup and makes runs in behind for scoring chances. I'm using that player on attack rather than complete. I definitely feel like complete is good, but I'm really liking attack when I'm using two strikers at this moment in time.
    • Right-sided Striker: False 9. When I'm using two strikers, whether it be in the 4-4-2, the 5-3-2, the 5-2-1-2, anything like that, I'm really, really, really enjoying having one of them strikers on False 9 and the other one on Advanced Forward. It's very, very, very nice. It just gives us more passing lanes and passing options when we have the ball.
    • Right-sided Central Midfielder: Box to Box. Because my right-sided striker is on False 9, I actually just play with my right-sided central midfielder on Box to Box. I'm not really interested in that right-sided central midfielder helping out a lot in the attacking third of the game too much, but of course, I do want them to get involved in the attacking third of the game, but at the same time, I do want them to still have a little bit of that midfield feel.
    • CDM: Holding and Defend. Nice and easy. I want my CDM just to sit there, shield, and protect our back three when we are attacking.
    • Left-sided Central Midfielder: Playmaker and Attack. Because our left-sided striker is the one that is on Advanced Forward and Attack, that's why I want my left-sided central midfielder to be the more attack-minded midfielder. That's why I want that midfielder to really help out in the attacking third of the game and get a lot of goals and a lot of assists for you.
    • Left Back and Right Back: Attacking Wing Back and Attack. You see there, that's kind of like how the team sets itself up in-game. We've got the left back and the right back really helping us out in the attacking transition of the game. We've got the left central midfielder really helping us out. We've got the right-sided striker which will help out in the buildup as well along with the right side of the center midfielder that is a box to box.
    • Middle Defender: Ball Playing Defender and Defend.
    • Left-sided Center Back: Ball Playing Defender and Defend. It's because my left-sided center midfielder is actually on Playmaker. There is method to the madness, YouTube.
    • Right-sided Center Back: Defender and Defend.
    • Goalkeeper: Goalkeeper and Defend.

That's with the ball. It's a very nice and overpowered formation, and Anders Verge gang is using it. We all know if you're watching this video who he is. If he's using it, there's a reason for that. This formation is amazing. Without the ball, it's a very nice and traditional 5-3-2 to defend with.
