Alright, what's up, guys? Welcome back to the channel! It's FC25 time, and this is my first FC25 video. You know I've been grinding, and we absolutely cannot do without the 4321. So, I've managed to cook up another formation that plays like a 4321, and I'm gonna show you exactly how to do it.

The 4-5-1 Disguise: Building Your 4-3-2-1

The secret sauce here is playing a 4-5-1 flat. But, and this is a big but, you've gotta apply the right player roles, or as I like to call them, the "player instructions." I'm gonna walk you through it, telling you exactly which roles I've assigned to each player.

But first, let's get the Tactical Preset sorted. We're going custom, of course, because we're gonna tweak things.

    • Build Up Play: On "Counter." This is key! When we win the ball back, we want to hit them fast.
    • Defensive Approach: On "High." This means a 70 depth. We don't want our defense sitting too deep.

Player Roles: The Heart of the Formation

Alright, let's dive into the player roles.

    • Goalkeeper: Balanced Focus and Sweeper Keeper. Standard stuff.
    • Left Back: Fullback. This means he'll focus on defense and stay back. Focus on "Defend."
    • Center Backs: Defender and "Defend" focus. They're just there to defend, plain and simple.
    • Right Back: Balanced Fullback. Just like last year. Focus on "Balance" and Wing Back. If you can get a Wing Back Plus on this guy, even better!
    • Left Center Mid (LCM): Enzo Fernandez. Playmaker role and attacking minded focus. He'll get forward, kind of like a "get forward" instruction.
    • Center Defensive Mid (CDM): Bellingham. Holding Midfielder. He's the anchor, staying back to defend. Focus on "Defend."
    • Right Center Mid (RCM): Box to Box. He's your balanced guy, going up and down the pitch.
    • Left Mid (LM) & Right Mid (RM): This is where the magic happens. Both are set to Inside Forward. Think Salah and Mane from the Jurgen Klopp Liverpool days. Bobby Firmino would drop, and they'd make runs between the left back and center back. That's what we want!
      • RM (Garnacho): Balanced focus.
      • LM (Podence): Attack focus. This gives Podence more freedom to stay forward and be ready for counters.
    • Striker (ST): Advanced Striker and attacking minded focus. He's there for the counter-attack.

Gameplay Examples: Seeing the Tactics in Action

Let's get into some gameplay examples to see how this all works.

    • Example 1: You see the overlap, helping out in attack. The inside forward instruction makes our player make a run, and we score easily.
    • Example 2: We build up from the back. Molina is involved, finding Salah, who's already drifted inside (that inside forward instruction!).
    • Example 3: We break down the wing again, the left forward coming inside and scoring.
    • Example 4: We recover the ball, a midfield pass to Salah. You can see his position. He takes a long shot, unlucky not to score, but you can see the position he takes up on the field. It's an inside forward.
    • Example 5: We recover the ball, K4-1 there, Salah again between the center back and the left back, hits the post. But again, a good chance created from the positioning of our left and right mids.
    • Example 6: We break through on the wing, and there's an attacker there for us to finish it.
    • Example 7: We break through on the wing, this time with Marchisio as a midfielder, but Molina comes to help us out. We dribble on the right a bit, Salah takes up the beautiful position again, and again a cut back and again a goal.
    • Example 8: We get the ball and immediately there are three guys ready to Counterattack. Adami now from the left wing sprinting past his opponent and then cutting it back easy tap in for Salah the inside forward again coming to the inside helps us a lot here for the positioning.

    Defensive Shape: Staying Solid

Now, let's look at some defensive clips.

    • Defensive Example 1: Our opponent has the ball on the right. He's looking for the pass inside. We find it between our fullback and center back. At that point, just stay in position, force him outside, and then when he's outside, you've got to cover the pots inside because that's where the danger is.
    • Defensive Example 2: The ball from the back. You can see that we're kind of in a weird 4-4-2, 4-5-1 kind of formation in defense. It's obviously got to do with one winger tracking back and the other not. We recover the ball in midfield because we're being aggressive, and then we can counterattack immediately ourselves.
    • Defensive Example 3: He's building up again from the back, and again, we press him in the midfield because this formation is also really going to impress him because he's got three center midfielders ready to jump on him when he plays the ball to the midfield like lions.

So, that's the video, guys! Let me know what you think in the comments. This is the first time I'm making an FC25 tactics video, and they're pretty different from the previous ones. Let me know if you have any feedback.
